Xiaomi has introduced a new IoT (Internet of Things) for the Indian market called the Mi LED Smart Bulb.
The smart bulb supports Amazon's Alexa voice assistant and Google Assistant.
Bringing support for 16 million colours.
The Xiaomi LED Smart Bulb is claimed to have a lifespan of 11 years.
There is no requirement for a bridge or hub and the bulb can be controlled directly via the Mi Home app.
Brands like Philips and Yeelight are already offering similar products in the Indian market, But the Mi LED Smart Bulb is the most inexpensive options in the market.
Xiaomi Mi LED Smart Bulb features
When it comes to features, the Mi LED Smart Bulb is quite similar to other smart bulbs available in the country. It offers support for up to 16 million colours and comes with an E27 mount. Most households in the country use the B22 mount, but that’s not a problem as you can use an adapter. The smart bulb also offers temperature control between 1700K to 6500K. It is a 10W bulb that can produce 800 lumens of light.
You can adjust the colour, brightness and also set schedules for automatically turning the bulb on when you arrive home for work or after sunset. The bulb can be easily connected to your home Wi-Fi and does not require any special Hub. It will even work with Google Home and Amazon’s Alexa.
According to Xiaomi, the Mi LED Smart bulb can last up to 11 years, which is impressive. The design of the bulb is also quite different than the other smart bulbs in India.
